Cameron Expenditures to Drop 8.6 Percent

LAWTON - Cameron University's governing board approved an annual budget of $46.4 million for the fiscal year starting July 1.

The budget was approved during the meeting of the University of Oklahoma, Cameron University and Rogers State University Board of Regents.

University expenditures for the fiscal year will decrease by $4.37 million, down 8.6 percent from the current fiscal year. Cameron is eliminating 66 faculty and staff positions.

For the fall semester, undergraduate resident tuition and mandatory fees will increase $13 per credit hour, or 7 percent. Cameron plans to increase funding for scholarships and other financial support. Resident tuition waivers and university scholarships will increase 2.4 percent to $2.6 million in academic year 2016-2017. …
