Orlando businessman Todd Wilcox became the fourth Republican to drop out of the GOP U.S. Senate primary Friday after incumbent Marco Rubio reversed course and announced he is running for re-election.

That makes the contest a one-on-one match-up between Rubio and Carlos Beruff, the brash-talking Manatee County homebuilder.

Beruff -- who already has spent $4 million of his own money on the race -- released a statement shortly after Wilcox ended his campaign that slammed Rubio and declared: "now, the choice is clear."

"The voters of Florida can re-elect Washington's candidate, who has consistently failed to do the job they hired him to do and won't commit to serving a full six-year term," Beruff continued. "Or they can make a change. I'm not a politician. I'm a businessman who wants to bring a business mindset to the problems facing our country and our state. It's simple.
