Former Tomblin Top Aide to Head Morgantown Chamber of Commerce

A former top aide to Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin has been hired as president and CEO of the Morgantown Chamber of Commerce. Jason Pizatella, who last served as Tomblin's acting administration secretary, starts his new job on July 18. He replaces Dan Kimble.

"The chamber is a strong advocate for businesses and I look forward to serving as the voice of that effort, said Pizatella, a Fairmont native. "The greater Morgantown area will only be stronger when our members work together with business leaders, educational institutions, elected officials, community partners and others to continue to build upon our current economic success.

Pizatella, who ran unsuccessfully as a Democrat for state auditor in the May primary, is the former chairman of the West Virginia Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council and currently serves as a member of the state Water Development Authority and West Virginia Board of Law Examiners. …
