Lancashire Welcome Back Buttler for Final Push in T20 Blast

JOS Buttler will be back to boost Lancashire tonight as they bid to keep alive their fading hopes of securing a NatWest T20 Blast quarterfinal spot.

And he could now be around for most of the season after the big- hitting wicketkeeper was left out of England's squad for the first Test against Pakistan next week, with the selectors instead recalling Gary Ballance to replace Nick Compton.

It means Buttler is free to play in tonight's clash at Worcestershire, the T20 trips to Derbyshire and Leicestershire next week and also the Specsavers County Championship match against Durham at Southport which starts a week tomorrow.

That will be his first taste of red ball cricket since he was dropped from the Test team in November.

Having lost five of their nine group games, defending champions Lancashire know they probably have to win their last five matches to have any chance of securing a place in the last eight. …
