Hispi Plans to Stand out from the Crowd ; Crowdfunded Bistro Set to Open in Didsbury

The opening date has been revealed for Didsbury's new crowdfunded bistro hispi.

Chef-proprietor Gary Usher, who also owns foodie favourites Sticky Walnut, in hoole, Chester, and Burnt Truffle, in heswall, on the Wirral, has confirmed it will open on September 20.

The restaurant will take over the former site of Jem and I, on School Lane, in Didsbury village, after initial plans to open in Chorlton had to be abandoned when the site there fell through.

hundreds of supporters pledged more than Pounds 50,000 towards the project through a Kickstarter campaign after Gary announced plans to open his third site here in Manchester.
