TENAFLY -- The Board of Education has a vacancy to fill following the July 1 resignation of trustee Stephanie Addison-Fontaine.

Fontaine, in the first year of her second term on the board, stepped down "for personal reasons," said district Superintendent Lynn Trager.

"Stephanie was a valuable asset to the board," Trager said. "She was a good problem-solver, thoughtful in her decisions and an active member of the Communication Committee."

Prospective candidates have until July 25 to submit an application for the position on the nine-member board.

The board has 65 days to appoint a temporary member to serve until January 2017, said Trager. The remaining portion of the unexpired term, from January 2017 to January 2019, will be placed on the ballot at the annual school election, to be held in November. …
