UNITED target Paul Pogba has been branded 'a waste of money' at Pounds 100million by France legend Emmanuel Petit. The Juventus midfielder has been heavily linked with a move back to Old Trafford, with the Reds thought to be ready to pay a world record fee to secure his signature for new manager Jose Mourinho. He has already landed Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly and wants Pogba as his fourth key addition.

But former Arsenal and Chelsea man Petit, who won the World Cup with France in 1998, believes it is too early to call his countryman a 'big star' and has baulked at the proposed transfer fee.

Pogba had an underwhelming Euro 2016 and Petit blasted: "They say Pounds 100mfi it is a waste of money for me."

He added in an interview with Yahoo Sport : "Pogba has a great future, but this move is too early for him. …
