Train Bosses Caught on the Hop by WALLABY on Tracks

THIS is the wallaby believed to have caused train mayhem between Stalybridge and Huddersfield yesterday.

The marsupial escaped from a farm in Marsden five days and strayed on to train tracks at around 11.15am.

Train services between the two stations were forced to run at reduced speeds while attempts were made to capture the creature.

It has since been caught, although it is unknown if it has been returned to the farm yet.

The farm houses three wallabies and according to posts on Facebook it went missing on Monday, July 11.

A spokesman from First Transpennine Express said: "It was causing mayhem for about half an hour. It has now been captured and has been taken back to it's farm."

Ross Easton, from Network Rail, said: "With summer holidays coming up, we are reminding everyone - especially kids and young people - to stay off the tracks. …
