State Gas Price Falls to 2-Month Low

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma's average gasoline price on Monday was $2.00 per gallon, down from $2.05 a week earlier and the lowest price since mid-May.

"Today, for the first time since May 16, Oklahoma's statewide average for regular gasoline hit $2 per gallon," Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma, said on Monday. "However, if you're traveling in or through Oklahoma City or Tulsa, you might want to wait and fill up there. Some stations have E-10-blended gas for as little as $1.66 per gallon in Oklahoma City and $1.72 in Tulsa, although according to GasPrices.AAA.com, both metros' overall averages are quite a bit higher than that. So-called pure gas, that is, without ethanol, costs more at the pump, and that pushes up citywide average prices. …
