Suspect Charged in Lemay Double Homicide

ST. LOUIS COUNTY * A man wanted in the deaths of two people in a Lemay area home last week has been charged with murder, police said Saturday.

Police also said that John Hamm, 42, had confessed to the slayings.

The St. Louis County prosecuting attorney's office charged Hamm with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of stealing a motor vehicle. He is being held in the St. Louis County jail in lieu of $2 million bail.

On July 13, police found Robert Hall, 46, and Shannon Larock, 41, dead in their home in the 400 block of Kayser Avenue. The bodies were discovered shortly after an emergency call about 12:30 a.m. that day.

They had been stabbed multiple times and struck in the head with a hard object consistent with a hammer, police said. …
