Blues Leading Race to Sign Brazilian Teen Dubbed 'New Neymar' ; CITY SPECIAL

CITY are ahead in the race for Gabriel Jesus and could sign the Brazilian striker in the next few days.

But the 19-year-old Palmeiras star is likely to be allowed to stay with his club at least until the end of the Brazilian championship, in December.

Some reports suggest City have trumped their rivals by paying Pounds 27million for the forward, called the 'new Neymar" by some in the Brazilian media.

But M.E.N. Sport understands that the fee is much lower, and that the Blues saw off stiff competition from Barcelona, Real Madrid, United and Paris St Germain.

One Spanish newspaper said that the Blues have won the race by offering more than the Pounds 20million buy-out clause in his contract - a clause that only applied to those four other interested clubs and Bayern Munich.

The paper claims that Jesus' agent Cristiano Simoes has negotiated a five-year deal with City. …
