WVSU Professor Honored by American Chemical Society

A professor of chemistry at West Virginia State University has been named as a member of the 2016 Class of Fellows of the American Chemical Society. Micheal Fultz is the first WVSU faculty member to be selected for the honor, which recognizes members of ACS for outstanding achievements in and contributions to science, the profession and the Society.

"It is an honor to be selected as an ACS fellow, Fultz said. "The national organization is recognizing the outreach and teaching activities that are taking place through the Kanawha Valley Section of the ACS and West Virginia State University. This is a recognition to all the students who have assisted in promoting STEM fields in the local schools, those that I have had in the classroom, and the guidance I have received from my teachers and mentors over the last 15 years of being an ACS member. …
