BRIEF ENCOUNTERS ITV, 9pm AFTER the rollercoaster of Dawn's romance with butcher boy 'little Russy', it's finally their wedding day. And Dawn (Sharon Rooney) has a big new 'Cher' do to celebrate. Well it is the Eighties.

But the day is not without its trauma.

Dawn is still reeling from her run-in with her horrible dad, who caught her sneaking off with her mum's wedding dress.

Meanwhile, Steph decides to report her attacker to the police, but Terry says she can't because he already "dealt with it" - ie. beat the living daylights out of him.

And Pauline and Johnny are both wandering around dazed and confused after she rejected him as her son.

Fortunately, everything comes to a head at the wedding reception, which becomes the scene of blazing rows and heart-tohearts.
