IT'S time to charge your glasses as tickets are now available for the Manchester Beer and Cider Festival.

Organised by the Greater Manchester branches of the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA), the event is one of the biggest bashes in the Manchester beer calendar, and returns to Manchester Central from January 19-21 next year.

This year's festival featured more than 600 different beers and ciders with almost 15,000 beer lovers pouring through the doors of the venue to sample them.

Speaking about the changes to next year's event, festival organiser Graham Donning said: "We've taken around 30 per cent more of the Central Hall, so will be able to offer even more seating and more space to move around."

"The increased space means we can offer an even wider selection of beers and ciders from Britain and further afield. To ensure we serve over 70,000 pints in tip top condition, we'll be open to the public for one day less. …
