WITH our borders a hot topic at the moment, this timely comedy based in an airport gamely sends up the issue for our entertainment.

It's a retro-scripted mockumentary - which means the actors have scripts with general plotlines, but that's all. They have to improvise their own lines.

The result is like a fly-on-thewall doc, with a narrator (in this case Ralf Little, who is also executive producer) talking us through life for these inept border control agents.

Set in the fictional Northend Airport, it's a small provincial airport which may be on the small side but still has to stick to the rules of a big international airport.

The staff are complete idiots who spend a lot of time highfiving, losing suitcases off baggage trucks and accidentally racially profiling everyone who approaches the gate.

Boss Linda Proctor (Jackie Clune) has instructions from the Home Office to follow "The Three O's" - "out of the ordinary". …
