LONG LOST FAMILY ITV, 9pm WATCHING an instalment of this show is not pretty. It involves red, puffy-faced, snotty sobs, with the odd unintelligable cry at the TV, such as: "He never saw the letter!" or, "She hasn't seen her baby for 50 years!" Tonight we hear the story of widow Susan Webb, 70, who fell pregnant as a teenager, but because her brother had just been killed in a road accident, she didn't want to burden her grieving parents and gave her baby Samantha up for adoption. But the trauma led to severe depression and ultimately electric shock treatment that stripped her of her memories.
