Fury to Sue over Doping Claims

TYSON Fury is suing Britain's anti-doping and boxing authorities over allegations that he used a performanceenhancing drug last year.

The world heavyweight champion was charged with a doping offence by UK Anti-Doping on June 24 after he allegedly failed a test back in February 2015, nine months before he defeated Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf, Germany. Tyson's cousin and fellow boxer Hughie Fury was also charged.

It was claimed that traces of the banned substance nandrolone was found in the urine sample taken by Tyson, but his legal team say that the results of tests on the samples in March and May 2015 were contradictory.

Tyson immediately denied the claims, and it has now been revealed that the 27-year-old is taking action over the allegations.

A statement from lawyer Lewis Power read: "The two boxers strenuously deny taking any performance-enhancing drugs. …
