Top Hotel Chain Set for London Road Check-In ; GROUP'S BOSS SAYS OLD FIRE STATION SITE IS 'PERFECT OPPORTUNITY' TO MAKE MOVE INTO MANCHESTER

A HOTEL operator rated among the world's best will open in the London Road fire station, The Zetter Group has been picked for the Allied London scheme near Piccadilly Station, which is being regenerated after nearly 30 years of lying dormant.

Their London properties are wellknown for quirky details and have all been named in Conde Nast Traveller's 'Hot List: The World's Best New Hotels.' The Zetter Hotel at London Road will be the group's first operation outside London and the fourth hotel in their collection.

Michael Benyan, The Zetter Group's director, said: "We are delighted to have finally found the perfect opportunity to open a Zetter property INMANchester. London Road is an iconic building and a real gift for us as hoteliers. We want to preserve the existing beauty and magic of the building and use it to help create a unique experience for our guests."

The Zetter Group will work with interior designers Russell Sage Studios, which created The Goring Hotel's Royal Suite, and a number of Jason Atherton's and Gordon Ramsay's restaurants. …
