By CHRIS OSTICK LANCASHIRE Thunder skipper Amy Satterthwaite admitted it was a relief to get over the line as her side recorded their first victory in the new Kia Women's Super League.

The side head into their first home match today when they take on Southern Vipers at Blackpool with one win and one defeat under their belt following Wednesday's success over Loughborough Lightning.

New Zealand ace Satterthwaite was key to the victory, hitting 52 off 32 balls as Lancashire posted 164-8 in their 20 overs.

They had Loughborough in trouble on 88-7 in the 13th over of their reply. But an eighth wicket partnership of 69 between Thea Brookes and Paige Scholfield saw Loughborough come close to pulling off an amazing comeback.

Lancashire all-rounder Hayley Matthews picked up two wickets in two balls, finishing with 3-25, to secure victory for the Red Rose, who bounced back from Sunday's opening defeat to Western Storm at Taunton. …
