KU Football Lands Second Alabama Transfer in 24-Hour Span

The Kansas football team has secured its second Alabama transfer in a 24-hour span.

Former Crimson Tide offensive tackle Charles Baldwin will sign scholarship papers with the Jayhawks on Aug. 22, according to a report Friday at 247sports.com. Alabama wideout Daylon Charlot also announced his intention to transfer to KU via a tweet Thursday night.

Baldwin, a 6-foot-6, 305-pound tackle, was ranked the No. 2 junior-college player in the country by Rivals.com before committing to Alabama last June. He was dismissed from the team May 12 for an undisclosed violation of team rules.

Both Baldwin and Charlot must both sit out a season before gaining eligibility with the Jayhawks per NCAA transfer rules.
