Cops Searching for Suspect after Sissonville Stabbing

A Charleston man was stabbed last weekend in Sissonville after he stopped his motorcycle because he believed his girlfriend had hit a minivan with her car, police said Friday. Andrew Edens, 26, ended up being stabbed multiple times in the chest and arms, according to police.

Kanawha County sheriff's deputies are searching for Charleston resident Travis Wickline, 27. They believe he stabbed Edens, and have charged him with malicious wounding.

Edens and his girlfriend were traveling on Kanawha Two-Mile Road early Sunday - he on a motorcycle, she in a white sedan - when they came upon the blue minivan in the middle of the road. The minivan's door was open, and Edens and his girlfriend believed she had struck the door with her car, according to Sgt. Brian Humphreys of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office.
