Blind and Bailly Set Be Centre of Attention

DALEY Blind and Eric Bailly are set to kick-off the new season at Bournemouth as United's centre-back partnership.

Chris Smalling has been injured in pre-season since he returned to club duty following his summer holidays after England's European Championship disaster.

He is also suspended for the Premier League start at Bournemouth when he'll serve a one-match ban for his FA Cup final red card last May.

With Phil Jones losing ground, new United boss Jose Mourinho has tested the Blind-Bailly link in four of the Reds' five pre-season friendlies.

It was a success again at Wembley on Sunday as United beat champions Leicester City in the Community Shield.

Blind says the pair are overcoming a language barrier to form a partnership.
