JOSE Mourinho will offload senior United players - if he decides to add further new faces following the Pounds 89m world-record signing of Paul Pogba.

The Reds boss has stated he wants a squad of 20 outfield players and three goalkeepers for his debut Old Trafford campaign, the format he has operated with during his 15 years as a manager.

It is believed Mourinho is still keen to strengthen his defence with centre-back and right-back possible areas of concern. It leaves a handful of stars - both old and new - sweating on their United futures.

The Portuguese boss is acutely aware of having a top-heavy squad and the danger of stockpiling nonplaying seniors.
