ACLOCK ticking loudly at intervals throughout this heart- thumping documentary series is enough to remind us of the crucial 'golden hour'.

It's so called by emergency services because it is the critical 60 minutes of care after an accident that could mean the difference between life or death.

But with ever advancing technology, doctors can now perform emergency procedures at the roadside, giving more people a chance.
