An out-of-state man wanted on a felony charge fled Charleston police, speeding the wrong way down several roads, before sailing over railroad tracks and crashing on Elizabeth Street Tuesday, according to police. Police attempted to pull over Che Dushon Lark, 41, on Interstate 77 for speeding while traveling north in a Hyundai Sonata shortly after 11 a.m., according to Sgt. Mark Kinder, the Charleston Police Department's traffic division commander.

Kinder said during a news conference Tuesday that Nashville police will travel to Charleston to bring Lark back to face his felony charge. Charleston Lt. Steve Cooper said Lark was wanted on a prescription fraud charge in Nashville.

Lark allegedly took the Leon Sullivan Way exit and began to stop his vehicle in a parking area before taking off. …
