The West Virginia Power swept a doubleheader from the Greensboro Grasshoppers Tuesday night at Appalachian Power Park, winning 4-2 in the first game and 5-3 in the nightcap. Casey Hughston was the hero in the first game, smacking a two-run walk-off home run to right in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Power starter Logan Sendelbach worked 6 2/3 innings and carried a 2-0 lead into the seventh inning before allowing game-tying two-run homer by Greensboro's John Silviano with two outs in the seventh inning.

Reliever Julio Vivas (2-0) tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up the win for the Power, while Marcus Crescentini (2-2) took the loss.

The Power plated four runs in the first inning of the second game to set the tone, chasing Greensboro starter Joel Effertz (0-1) with five hits and four earned runs in just one-third of an inning. …
