VANDALS jammed the locks of dozens of front doors and garages during a series of early-hours superglue sprees.

A total of 45 flats and 25 garages have been targeted over recent weeks in Heywood.

The incidents have caused 'major inconvenience' to householders on Crown Road, High Street and South Avenue.

The flats targeted are managed by Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH), which has been left to pick up the hefty repair bills.

The landlord, who is working with police to investigate the vandalism, says the incidents all occurred between midnight and around 6am.

Some residents are understood to have been targeted on a number of occasions.

A letter sent to 88 RBH tenants appealed to residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or individuals loitering near their block or garages. …
