Topeka Open Houses Planned to Learn about Public Priorities for Regional Transportation Projects

The Metropolitan Topeka Planning Organization will hold two open houses on Thursday, Aug. 18, to learn about public priorities for future regional transportation projects.

The gatherings will be from noon to 2 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, 1515 S.W. 10th.

The consultants will make a quick presentation at the start of each open house. The public will then be able to informally ask questions of the consulting team and provide written comments.

Comments may be submitted using forms that will be available at the meeting or by taking an online survey on the MTPO website at www.topekampo.org. The survey takes about five minutes to complete.

The MTPO is working to develop Futures2040, the Topeka Regional Transportation Plan, with help from the consulting team of RDG Planning & Design, WSP/Parsons Brinckerhoff and Venice Communications, Inc. …
