Brew Monday! New Order Launch Beer ; BAND'S LATEST RELEASE IS SURE TO HIT ALL THE RIGHT NOTES WITH ALE ENTHUSIASTS

NEW Order have followed in fellow Manchester band Elbow's footsteps by brewing their first beer, Stray Dog.

Named after a track on their latest album, Music Complete, featuring Iggy Pop, it's described as a refreshing and clean- tasting golden ale with hints of citrus fruit and lychee, balanced by a subtle bitterness.

The Manchester band have collaborated with Burnley's Moorhouse's brewery to develop the drink, which is made with American Cascade, Centennial and Willamette hops and English Maris Otter malt.

Known for its award-winning Pendle Witches Brew, the independent brewery celebrated its 150th anniversary last year.

The band said: "It's been a pleasure to work with Moorhouse's of Burnley on our first foray into the brewing business - even more so that they're celebrating their 150th anniversary, and have such a rich heritage in the North West". …
