Man shot multiple times, killed in Homewood South

A man was shot and killed Saturday morning in the 800 block of Brushton Avenue in Homewood South.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as 20-year-old Raekwon Epps.

Pittsburgh police said in a news release that Mr. Epps was outside sitting in a chair about 4 a.m. and was shot multiple times when an unidentified shooter approached him. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Man shot twice on South Side taken to Mercy

Pittsburgh police are investigating after a man was shot in the abdomen and left ankle on the South Side early Saturday.

The victim, 24, was found shortly after 2 a.m. at the intersection of South 21st and East Carson streets, police said. The victim, who was taken to UPMC Mercy by paramedics and listed in stable condition, has refused to cooperate with the investigation, police said. …
