NEW BRIDGE IS DEDICATED

The new 3,900-foot bridge, later to be named the Blanchette Bridge, over the Missouri River in St. Charles is dedicated. U.S. Rep. Clarence Cannon describes it as "a poem stretched across the river, a symphony in metal and stone."
