Best assets: Paramus returns a strong core of field players, beginning with senior center midfielder and three-year starter Shelby Breen -- the Spartans' "workhorse in the middle," according to coach Glenn Haug. Also returning for Paramus is senior F Kaitlyn Scrivanich, capable of doing damage with her speed. "She's going to be looked upon to be our offensive catalyst," Haug said of Scrivanich, who supplied six goals and five assists last season. The Spartans will get a welcomed boost in the backfield with the return of senior Keri Ferrara, who missed all of last season with a torn ACL -- "a huge loss for us," Haug said. Junior D Nikki Remschel will pair up with Ferrara -- a second-team all-league selection as a sophomore in the competitive Big North Freedom division -- on the back line and the Spartans also return senior M Francesca Lama and senior stopper Katrina Rossi. …
