BABE RUTH 13s WORLD SERIES

OTTUMWA, Iowa -- Pacific Southwest scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take the lead and broke the game open with five runs in the fifth inning on the way to a 12-3 win over Sarasota to eliminate the Southeast representative in the Babe Ruth League 13s World Series.

The game was back-and-forth through the first four innings, with five lead changes before the team from Honolulu took control. An error scored Lee Matsuzaki in the fourth inning and gave Pacific Southwest the lead for good.

Jaron Yoshikane racked up three RBI on two hits for Pacific Southwest. He doubled in the first inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Southeast couldn't get anything going as long as Bryden Malama was on the hill. …
