Kids been making a racket lately? Have them learn to play better with one, instead, at the 21st Annual Arthur Ashe Kids' Day at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

The event honors the life and values of tennis player and humanitarian Arthur Ashe - the only African-American player to ever win the men's singles at Wimbledon, the Australian Open and the U.S. Open. The festivities will serve as a kickoff to the U.S. Open, which will take place from Sunday to Sept. 11.

ON THE COURT: The first part of the day will have free tennis activities for kids (from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., families will have the opportunity to show off their backhand), followed by an exhibition match in the afternoon with Novak Djokovic, 2015 U.S. Open champ, and Rafael Nadal, two-time U.S. Open winner.

OFF THE COURT: Kids can test their agility at the Hess Toy Truck Obstacle Course. …
