Giuliani Looking Forward to 'Next Step'

Former Met Open champion Andrew Giuliani has given up life as a pro golfer and is in the process of regaining his status as an amateur.

"I love playing, and it was a great way to spend my twenties," said Giuliani, 30, a 2005 graduate of St. Joseph in Montvale. "But it's time to move on, and I'm looking forward to the next step in life."

The New York City resident plans to pursue a career in finance or real estate. He is engaged to be married. He was a pro for seven years and hopes to regain his amateur status by 2018.

Time on the golf course, particularly in New Jersey, has been successful for Giuliani, whose father, Rudy, is the former New York City mayor and presidential candidate.

As a junior at St. Joseph, Giuliani led the all-boys parochial school to a stunning victory at the 2004 Tournament of Champions at Rumson Country Club. …
