SHE shot to fame as a finalist on the X Factor in 2014 - and Fleur East was as gripped as the rest of us as the show returned for a new series on Saturday night.

Fleur, who had massive hits with Uptown Funk and Sax after storming into the final, is loving the new judging panel of Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger.

And she was quick to pick her favourite contestants from the first episode - Scottish singer Caitlin Vanbeck and rapper Honey G from 'North Weezy', aka North London who did a freestyle rap before launching into Missy Elliot's Work It.

Speaking to us from Pride, she said: "I loved it and I love the panel. I laughed so much. They all seem a bit more free with each other.

"I loved Honey G and Caitlin." Fleur, who is working on a new album, was excited to headline the main stage on Sunday night along with Will Young, as well as feeling the pressure of performing after a singer who she idolised when he won Pop Idol, the predecessor to the X Factor back in 2002. …
