Rudolph Is Hired as New Dwight-Englewood Coach

Bob Rudolph has been hired as the new Dwight-Englewood boys basketball coach.

He was a Dwight-Englewood assistant the past four seasons after stints as head coach at Emerson, Pascack Hills and NV/Demarest. Rudolph, 67, is a Hillsdale resident who has coached in Bergen County for more than 20 years.

"I'm very pleased to have the opportunity and to work with some kids who are dedicated athletes that I'm proud to have worked with," Rudolph said Monday. "We've had some success and hope to continue that success."

"He's got a rich history here in Bergen County," Dwight- Englewood athletic director Chris Schmid said Monday. "He has the basketball knowledge, and he's well respected in this county, not only to teach the game of basketball, but in his basketball knowledge and implementation of game strategies. …
