Man Held after 4-Town Dirt Bike Chase

TOTOWA -- A borough man on a dirt bike led police on a chase Tuesday that ended with him jumping over a guardrail and sliding down an embankment before being surrounded by officers, authorities said.

Andrew Casciano, 28, is alleged to have driven his motorcycle along Riverview Drive with no license plate, catching the attention of Totowa police at 7:29 p.m., according to Chief Robert Coyle.

As patrolman Jeff Pasquariello tried to pull him over, Casciano sped up his black 2016 Honda motorcycle and led the officer on a chase through Woodland Park, Little Falls and Cedar Grove, at several points through dirt paths in wooded areas and trails, near overhead power lines, Coyle said.

Police stopped their pursuit several times when Casciano was out of sight. …
