Because the Cate Brothers played the Spirit of Kansas Blues Festival on July 4, fans of the twins -- called Arkansas' answer to "the Righteous Brothers, the Neville Brothers and the Everly Brothers" -- didn't have to wait 14 weeks between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends to hear them in Topeka. Earl and Ernie Cate will play at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Uncle Bo's, lower level of the Ra-mada Hotel and Convention Center, 420 S.E. 6th.
