'City Will Lose Fans' Warning over Treatment of Toure

CITY will lose millions of African fans because of the way they have treated Yaya Toure, according to the player's agent.

Dimitri Seluk, who has been outspoken throughout Toure's time at the club, is unhappy at Pep Guardiola's decision to leave the midfielder out of City's Champions League squad.

He says it will result in a loss of interest from African fans, who he feels will switch allegiance to United.

"They will lose a lot of millions of supporters from Africa because of this decision from Guardiola," he said. "Now they will support Manchester United. A lot of people in Africa say they will never see any more matches of City on TV."

Toure, 33, has less than a year remaining on his current Pounds 250,000-a-week contract and is expected to leave at the end of the season on a free transfer, bringing to an end a seven-year association with the club. …
