Biden, Kaine to Talk before Parade Today

Streets will start closing early this morning for Downtown Pittsburgh's Labor Day Parade, which will be preceded by remarks from Vice President Joe Biden and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine.

Mr. Biden and Mr. Kaine are scheduled to speak at 9 a.m. at Liberty Avenue and 11th Street, and the parade will step off from that location at 10 a.m.

It will proceed along Grant Street, turn right onto the Boulevard of the Allies and end at the United Steelworkers building at Stanwix Street. Traffic will be restricted around the parade route. No parking will be allowed along all streets on or connected to the route, according to the city.
