I'm personally inspired by a presidential candidate for the first time. I support Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, but he remains unknown to most. The Commission on Presidential Debates established eligibility criteria, including being on enough ballots to mathematically win and having a level of support of at least 15 percent of the electorate. They defined this measurement as being determined by an average from five selected national opinion polls.

The 15 percent is not as fair as it sounds. 1) Polls are not including him in the top question, if at all. This is not what voters will see; they will see Mr. Johnson's name on every ballot, along with others. 2) Pollsters actually have to dial cellphone numbers; it's expensive, time-consuming and seldom done. …
