Delinquency Hearing Set for Accused Young Killer

A delinquency hearing in juvenile court for Jordan Brown, the boy accused at age 11 of killing his father's pregnant fiancee, is scheduled for Sept. 27 before Lawrence County Common Pleas Judge John W. Hodge.

There will be no jury; only the judge will weigh the evidence presented about Jordan, who is now 14, and decide whether to adjudicate the youth delinquent or not delinquent.

Deputy Attorney General Anthony J. Krastek Jr. said he will be the lone prosecutor in the courtroom.

"We hope to get it done within that week. However, a lot could happen between now and then," Mr. Krastek said Friday. "I'm looking at a couple of days for my case."
