E. Rutherford Woman Made Threat, Cops Say

A 31-year-old East Rutherford woman has been charged with making a terroristic threat against a man who she said was taking too much time in the drive-through prescription lane of a Walgreen's store in Carlstadt.

Police Chief Thomas Nielsen said that when officers arrived at Broad and Garden streets on Saturday morning, the man told them the woman had brandished a knife and said she would cut him.

Nielsen said the incident apparently started when the woman, identified as Amanda Schneider, suddenly pulled her car around the man's vehicle at the window of the store on Hoboken Road and started shouting obscenities.

The man, whose wife and daughter were in the car, responded with obscenities of his own, Nielsen said, then -- after he received his prescription -- told Schneider it wasn't his fault and that the clerk had taken a long time to find his prescription. …
