Hermine's impact

Hermine's post-tropical rain could threaten tonight's Mets- Nationals game at Citi Field. And that could impact who fills Jacob deGrom's spot Tuesday night in Cincinnati.

Manager Terry Collins said before Saturday night's 3-1 win that the Mets are leaning toward Rafael Montero coming up again from Class AA Binghamton. The righty was pulled from his start Saturday night after four outs and 29 pitches. He was charged with three runs.

If there's a rainout, Collins could also push tonight's scheduled starter, Seth Lugo, to Monday and Bartolo Colon to Tuesday. The rookie Lugo is 2-1 with a 2.55 ERA in three starts.

"I've been impressed with Seth ..." Collins said. "His curveball, which is a big pitch for him, you've got to be able to throw it for a strike, and he has."
