THE rivalry between Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola is one of the most famous in modern football, and it's one the City boss seems is winning.

The two managers have faced each other 16 times in the past.

Guardiola has come out on top most often, winning eight - one of which was on penalties - while Mourinho just three. The other five ended in draws.

The first time the two managers were in opposing dugouts was in the group stages of the 2009-10 Champions League when Guardiola was in charge of Barcelona and Mourinho of Inter Milan.

The match finished 0-0 at the San Siro and featured two players in the Barca starting 11 who could play tomorrow - Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Yaya Toure.
