JOS Buttler admits he isn't surprised by Eoin Morgan's decision not to go to Bangladesh.

And the Lancashire ace admits he had doubts about going himself.

Morgan has been widely criticised for refusing to go on next month's tour because of security fears.

But Buttler, who will now captain the side for the threematch series, says he respects the Middlesex player's decision.

"I'm not necessarily surprised," said Buttler. "It's been a tough decision for everyone. It's very much a personal decision and that was made clear by the ECB. And it will be a decision he hasn't taken lightly.

"As a colleague and a friend I completely respect his decision, as I know everyone in the dressing room does.

"It's very new for everyone. Reading things in the press and having a lot of information about it, you do have some worries.
