Kanawha Valley Village People to Conduct Senior Services Program

The Kanawha Valley Village People, a nonprofit social and support group for seniors, will hold one of their regular gatherings at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 in the Meeting Rooms of the South Charleston Public Library, 312 Fourth Ave., South Charleston. The event will be similar to a panel presentation on April 2, with additional experts on services and resources available to seniors in the Charleston area. The September panel will include speakers from the KVVP Social Workers Assistance Team, Edgewood Summit and HospiceCare of Kanawha & Putnam County, including Palliative Care. A speaker from Gentiva will discuss home health-care services.

After the presentation, audience members will have a chance to ask speakers about their various agencies' services in more detail.

The April panel included Putnam County Aging, the Aging and Disability Resource Center, Kanawha Valley Senior Services and Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley. …
