MANCHESTER will be showcasing its emergence as a leading global city at MIPIM 2017, the world's largest international property market event. Organisers have revealed a new bigger and better platform in a prime location which will ensure Manchester is seen as an international city.

MIPIM, which is held annually at Cannes, France, will showcase the city's most exciting developments.

This includes a new location for the Manchester at MIPIM stand, which will move from inside the Palais des Festivals convention centre to the main beach front entrance and will be located next to the London pavilion.

The Manchester stand will be double the size and will include networking and for the first time an exhibition space to allow partners to display models and images of developments.

The majority of events will take place at the pavilion - including the breakfast and session events as well as dinners. Sheona said: "For the last 17 years, the Manchester at MIPIM delegation has been private-led and this year we capped at 99 partners.

"The partnership is ambitious and so are we and as the partnership has grown we wanted to improve what we have got and so some changes have been made.

"Previously we have had three sites but we feel we are now at capacity.

"We looked at a different model to address that and chose the one that is right for us. The stand space we have had was not big enough for standing room only but going forward we wanted to keep that stand space because it is unique to all the other exhibitors.

"We wanted to protect what we created but give it more of a comfortable fit, so more people can stand, more people can get in.

"The opportunity to speak is what sets us apart as it allows the city, investors and architects to come together and communicate and the new space gives us that platform. …
