Local music educator by day and stage singer by night Mark Camacho will begin his sixth season of cabaret shows with one from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Tequila's Mexican Restaurant & Bar, 2911 S.W. 29th, in the Brookwood Shopping Center. Reservations are recommended by calling (785) 228-1222 as Camacho's fans usually pack whatever venue at which he performs. Camacho, who sings in both English and Spanish, plans to introduce some new material as well as draw from his vast catalog of audience favorites.

Before he headlines the Paxico Blues Festival on Saturday in the Wabaunsee County town, Hamilton Loomis, a nationally touring blues guitarist, singer and songwriter, will play the Topeka blues spot, Uncle Bo's.
